Very interesting read. I really enjoyed how thorough your description of social mechanisms is. It’s great to see some references to computer science as well!

A part that really struck me was when you talked about newcomers’ ideas and how the established group will begin to mimic them in an attempt to take ownership of them. I instantly drew the parallel to the Democrats adopting socialist policies, even though they’ve been economically right-wing for so long.
